The Massage Guru

What separates me from a typical massage therapist is my approach to massage. While I am trained in all the classical modalities, I believe massage is much more than just applying those techniques to every body as if they have all the same problems.

The work I do is truly therapeutic bodywork. Most of the techniques I use are hybrid techniques I’ve developed with the goal of realigning the body and creating better posture. I use a combination of deep tissue techniques, myofascial release, PNF stretches and sports massage to give each individual body the relief it needs. I have an extensive knowledge of how the body works, and more importantly how it can lead to pain when it is working incorrectly. It’s this knowledge that truly separates me from the pack.

Every massage I offer is tailored to the specific individual. Every body is different and has it’s own set of problems. My goal for every massage is to be the catalyst to let the body begin healing itself. Massage is not a luxury, it’s essential to living a stress and pain free life.

Swedish Massage

flamenco Swedish massage is an excellent way to help relieve stress and soothe the aches and pains caused by muscle tightness. My custom swedish massage will leave you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue massage is designed to relieve the body of all the chronic aches and pains. That spot by your shoulder blades that never goes away, that spot in your neck that’s there every day you wake up…these are the problems that Deep Tissue massage will address. While a more intense massage than Swedish, Deep Tissue will have much longer lasting results in the end.

Shiatsu Massage

Shiatsu massage focuses on balancing your body’s Chi, or energy. By working the pathways that energy flows through, balance is restored and the body becomes better able to heal itself. Shiatsu leaves you in a balanced and peaceful state of mind and body.

Swedish/Reflexology/Evaluation

Mixed service intended for first time clients. Includes 50 minute Swedish, Shiatsu or Deep Tissue massage, 10 minute reflexology session and a pre-massage pain & posture evaluation.

ive avoided writing yelp reviews in the past because i always felt that really good places have enough good reviews. for example: gary danko. do they really need a 1028th review? nope. and likewise for bad places - do i really need to write a review that hammers the nail into the coffin? nope. however, i feel like i am doing a huge injustice by not writing one for mike. for anyone that has ever gone in to get a massage and left in dissapointment, be assured, mike will not leave you dissapointed. he gives information when needed, talks when appropriate, applies just the right amount of pressure and has a very controlled set of hands. there is never a moment where i catch myself thinking..."what is he doing?" (i know we've all felt that at some point!) also the service is very consistent. ive been to places where the 1st time was great, the 2nd time was good, but by the 4th-5th time - the massage was mediocre and then i ask myself..."self...was this massage as yummy as gary dankos?" and if the answer is no, then i move on. next week will be my 6th deep tissue massage from mike. i have refered my sister, my coworkers, and even my mother. my mother, who was hesistent that he could assist with her back/hip pain (and of the massage itself) was happy that she felt some relief. a couple things to note: - for those that absolutely require a good foo-foo setting in order to feel like money is well spent, you might want to reconsider as this will not be like the W. but for those of you that feel like atmosphere is a bonus next to a good massage, then this is the place to go. its in a convenient location (close to ebay in campbell), and the room is clean, comfortable and quiet. - mike does such a good job at fixing your body that there is no need to go more than once a month. for some people that want to see the economy thrive from consumer spending, this is bad news. however, for people like me that are looking for value - chiching!
